Hi there…

I’m Julie – a freelance photographer based in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, with a love for helping businesses tell their story. I work with a variety of brilliant businesses and specialise in creating nature-inspired photos.

As a photographer, I believe there’s so much more to a headshot than displaying your face. My goal is to package your personality and the essence of your business into gorgeous photos. People connect with people, so I work to give them something to connect with – something intimate and real.

Let me tell you a little about my story...

I started off working in a bank for 17 years before giving it all up to become a stay-at-home mum. However, I soon discovered I needed to do something other than talk about weaning and sleepless nights! So, I enrolled in a photography class and loved it. I discovered my new passion.

One day, my tutor invited me to second shoot for him at a couple of weddings. Impressed with my work, he encouraged me to take my photography further at Leicester College. I decided to apply and completed the course with distinction, all whilst looking after a toddler and a newborn.

Then, I took the plunge!

I started my own photography business and haven’t looked back. Since then, I’ve taken photos of weddings, family portraits, pets, business portraits – pretty much everything. In fact, a photo I’d taken of bluebells wound up featured in Vogue Italia! A seriously proud moment for me.

I really am in my element when in nature. And that’s a great thing, since plain studio photos aren’t favoured so much. They just don’t say much. Now, it’s all about being natural, being yourself and telling your story.
