Fit 4 You
I met Annette through my networking group, LoveBIZ. She has run her Pilates classes for 30 years and was forced to take the business online when covid hit.
Initially, this was an extremely anxious time for her, would her large client base come with her? or would they gradually drift away? Well, it was huge success! So much so that Annette has decided to keep her classes online. Not only does it mean she gets to work in her gorgeous studio every day, it means that her clients can pop in out of classes as they choose, exercising in the comfort of their own home and they can even catch up later if they miss the live session!
The first thing struck me about Annette was her sense of fun and adventure, never a dull moment, we laughed our way through all of our meetings (totally wrong word, they were nothing of the sort!). When we went on a location recce I slipped down a muddy bank heading straight into the lake - Annette came to my rescue catching me and shouting “why didn’t you use the steps???!!!” which, of course, I hadn’t seen! With mud all over my legs and bum we continued our adventure and decided that the location was perfect. If you ignored the swans. Annette doesn’t like swans very much. Which might be a problem if we go Paddleboarding, but that’s future content for another blog!
As expected the photoshoot was an absolute blast, but in between the laughs and the giggles I was struck by how talented Annette is at what she does. I didn’t make it easy for her “just hold that position for a moment longer..” my moments can be quite long… and there she was holding the perfect pose without complaint or difficulty. My thoughts instantly turned to the fact that I can no longer touch my toes…
The other thing that struck me was the beautiful location of her studio, overlooking fields our chatter was overpowered by bird-song, it’s such a bright and serene space. I can see why she loves to go to work.
